Today, the Corps Secretary and Corps Welfare Warrant Officer, had the honour of paying a surprise visit to a Corps founder member, John ‘Jack’ Mott, on the occasion of his 101st birthday!
Jack had many tales to tell, taking us through his time in the East Surrey Regiment, then the RAOC before his final move to REME on 01 Oct 1942 as a Radar Mechanic.
He was delighted to receive a card from the Master General on behalf of the Corps and can be seen proudly wearing his new Corps tie.
On behalf of the whole REME Family, we send our fondest regards and wish Jack many more happy returns.
