Chevalier John McOwan celebrates 102 Years!
John McOwan hails from the  Scottish Borders where he recently celebrated his 102nd Birthday at home in Peebles.  The photo shows John reading his birthday card message from Colonel REME and the REME Family, kindly delivered by fellow REME Veteran Major Pat Spence.Â
Edmund Joynson – 102 Years Young!
Last month the Corps Welfare Warrant Officer, WO2 (CSM) Kelvin Redshaw and Maj (Retd) Geordie Wright-Rivers had the immense pleasure of visiting Edmund Joynson at his home in Ashford on the occasion of his 102nd birthday! We were delighted to be able to provide Edmund with the most recent editions of the Craftsman magazine and, more importantly, to hand him the Corps birthday card delivered with sincere best wishes and gratitude of the whole REME Family.
REME Veterans Win Gibraltar Rally
Last year, REME Veteran and Chelsea Pensioner Chris O’ Connor along with friend and colleague Geoff Read embarked on an adventure: the Veterans Car Rally in Gibraltar, which also coincided with the 80th anniversary of REME.

On Thursday 11th November, a small team from RHQ REME and HQ London District, led by Colonel REME and the Corps Secretary, began a very busy weekend of Corps remembrance with a visit to this year’s Field of Remembrance at Westminster Abbey.Â
REME Dunkirk Veteran Dennis Tocknell – Kit Upgrade
Last month, Maj (Retd) Geordie Wright-Rivers had the honour and pleasure of visiting 98 year-old Corps veteran Dennis Tocknell in Dursley, Gloucestershire to present him with his newly refurbished medals, new beret and Corps tie.
