Jim Fox’s ’76 Olympic Vest Exhibit Unveiled
On Friday 18th August, The REME Museum hosted an unveiling ceremony for a new exhibit: Jim Fox’s 1976 Olympic Vest. Sadly Jim Fox passed away in May of this year, but was represented at the unveiling by his family, friends and comrades, whom all gathered in the Museum’s Memorial Garden following the event to share memories and stories of the REME hero.
A video of the unveiling can be viewed here:
BBC Wiltshire also covered the event, and their story can be read here: https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-wiltshire-66548190?ns_mchannel=social&ns_source=twitter&ns_campaign=bbc_live&ns_linkname=66548190%26Vest%20worn%20by%20Olympian%20Jim%20Fox%20unveiled%20at%20museum%262023-08-18T18%3A26%3A39.000Z&ns_fee=0&pinned_post_locator=urn:bbc:cps:curie:asset:f1aeb833-ba74-47bf-98fb-351401ac2a1c&pinned_post_asset_id=66548190&pinned_post_type=share
