Who are the Royal Electrical and Mechanical Engineers (REME)

The  Royal Electrical and Mechanical Engineers is the Corps of the British Army that maintains all the equipment the British Army uses.  The Corps is described as the British Army’s “professional engineers’.  It was formed by Royal Warrant in 1942 and has fought and assisted in every battle since its formation.  In every unit in the British Army there will be at least one member of REME maintaining and reparing equipment.

What is REME Connect?

REME Connect is the membership website for the Corps.  It is where members of the REME Family will be able to book events, view Corps Instructions and keep up-to-date with key Corps Personalities.

Did you know?

In the film Ford vs. Ferrari (Les Mans ’66) Christian Bale’s character Ken Miles was a founding member of the Corps.
