The outgoing REME Capbadge
With the introduction of the new crown to be incorporated onto our capbadge, Colonel REME has issued the following direction with regards to the purchasing and wearing of the new capbadge.
Official Portraits: Further to the letter and to ensure clarity regarding Official Portraits. There remains no immediate requirement to replace official portraits or likenesses of Her Late Majesty Queen Elizabeth II nor of our Late Colonel-in-Chief, HRH The Prince Philip. There is also no recommended timetable for their replacement. Once official portraits of our new King and our new Colonel-in-Chief are available, RHQ REME will engage with units to consider how the Corps of REME will distribute them.
