reme officer and dog with child

A big thank you is in order for LCpl Tanya Checkley, who recently organised a coffee morning and fundraising alongside her local Girl Guiding unit and has donated funds raised to the REME Charity. LCpl Checkley, accompanied by her service dog Bella, can be seen speaking to young attendees in the accompanying image.

LCpl Checkley stated;

“We did really well! Half the customers were made up of retirees, numerous of which are veterans that live locally and the other half were colleagues at 1 REGT on their NAAFI break.  The brownie leaders are also childminders so the children visited the coffee morning which was lovely to see. “

The REME Charity extends their gratitude to LCpl Checkley, her fellow organisers and the attendees.

The REME Charity helps the REME Family in a myriad of ways, which include direct monetary grants to individuals and enhancing the professional and social fabric of the Corps. We do this with dignity, without fuss and usually behind the scenes. We aim to be kind, determined and a gently inquisitive force for good, which seeks always to make life better, or more bearable, at work, at play or at home. Registered Charity Number: 1165868
